It's a pleasure to meet you - Here's a little about me.
Born and raised in Key West, Florida, I was inspired by island life, my Cuban heritage, and a love of languages! I earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish language, with a French concentration, from The Florida State University, and later a master’s degree in Library and Information Science from the School of Information Sciences: The iSchool at Illinois. Over the past 25 years, my career experience has included principal roles as a foreign language educator; translator; interpreter; voiceover talent; event coordinator; and project manager.Through these opportunities, I have applied and refined my language skills through translation, voiceover work, proofreading, and editing projects as a 1099 independent contractor. I currently serve as a full-time Translation Specialist for University of Illinois Extension. I look forward to collaborating with you and your organization through the diverse services that I offer!
